As a Designer at RIT's College Activities Board, I am in charge of creating event publicity designs in a variety of formats including Instagram Squares, Flyers, LCDs, Web, Instagram Stories, and Sandwich Boards. I always strive to accurately capture what the event entails in my design and elicit excitement within the student body!

I truly feel that working at my work from CAB showcases myself as a designer who is passionate about eliciting emotions among my audience (excitement for events in this case) and as someone who loves getting involved with a community of creators like myself.
Freezefest Branding Challenge
I worked alongside my coworker Tom Catalano, an amazingly talented animation student. We started off gathering research and inspirations on a shared google document and shared Pinterest board. We were inspired by Ukrainian artist Mariia Lapitan-Yashchenko and design director Josh Mahan. The style we were going for is defined by craftiness, reminiscent of cardstock and nostalgic holiday DIY, effects like drop shadows, layering, 3d, gradients, and grain overlays, as well as subject matter including winter villages, forests, stars, snow globes, etc.
Tom came up with this periwinkle-based color palette using Coolors which he linked for me in our shared research document, as well as our header typeface called Nicholas. I went ahead and created this style guidelines presentation, creating the slides on Illustrator and importing them to a Google Slides presentation. I designed all of the slides and Tom created the mock event LCD for our branding (on slide 9).
