Hi there! My name is Ava Moran and I am a passionate graphic designer and illustrator currently getting by BFA in graphic design from RIT along with a double minor in psychology and environmental studies. I am enthusiastic about ethical design, human-centered design, and visual storytelling and always implement accessibility into my work. My style can be defined as illustrative, refined and colorful but I am easily able to adapt to whatever a client may need. I love creating work with an approachable and organic style while implementing lots of detailed imagery.
I am greatly inspired by artists and designers like Sydney Prusso, Diana Mounter, Kai Reyes, Ayumi Takahashi, Sasha Dow, Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya, Chanelle Nibbelink, and Wastana Haikal.
My interests range from human-centered / universal design, packaging, information design, UI/UX design, branding, UX accessibility and user research to illustration and book design. I think the thing that makes me stand out as a designer is my ability to tell a story through my work and how I always capture a desired mood or emotion, whether it is a feeling like excitement or urgency, or a vibe like peaceful or cozy which I achieve through my use of purposeful design choices, color palette, imagery, and type.
I truly enjoy learning new skills and honing my abilities so I can improve upon my design-thinking skills and abilities. I hope you get a sense of "me" and enjoy scrolling through my work!
